A new Assassin is in town, and even the infamous Blackbeard is afraid of him.

This past week the newest trailer from the Assassin’s Creed franchise was leaked onto the internet.

The video (below) shows Blackbeard the Pirate talking about the new character “fighting like a devil, dressed as a man.” This “devil” is none other than Edward Kenway, the grandfather of Connor Kenway, the main protagonist from Assassin’s Creed 3.

It appears that our newest hero will be able to dual-wield swords and carry up to four firearms on top of already wielding a hidden blade.

The game will also take place in the Caribbean Islands, which means that Ubisoft has decided to keep the naval aspect from AC3.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to be released on October 29, 2013. Players who pre-order now through GameStop will receive a free collectible poster.
